How we work
Working at your pace our aim is to enable you to find clarity by offering insight in a supportive, non-judgemental and jargon free way. We work to enhance your awareness of how you feel enabling you to explore your thoughts in a confidential and nurturing environment.
At CJK Counselling we work on all types of psychological distress ranging from relationship problems identity issues, loss/ bereavement, grief, depression, anxiety and addiction.
We work at your pace offering short or long-term counselling, focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) or an integrative approach.
First counselling session
Your first session is used for us to get to know you, understand you and what has brought you to counselling at this point in your life. A little information about your past is necessary to identify any underlying issues that may be hindering you from living your life to your full potential.
Usually, by the end of your first session an end goal and a way forward in working together will have been identified. There is no charge for this session because we believe it is important that you feel comfortable with your counsellor and able to talk fully and freely.
